Job Description:

Purpose of position:                                                                                     

Ensure the full compliance of project operations adhering to WHH rules, regulations and policies.  Implementation of operational strategies, establishment of management targets and monitoring the achievement of results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain good relationships with local communities and project participants
  • Organizing and holding trainings with local communities and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with project participant registration and mobilization of communities prior to distributions and training activities.
  • Participates in needs assessments, participatory rural appraisals, feasibility studies, stakeholder analyses and community consultations as required.
  • Various fieldwork including but not limited to conducting livestock trainings for local communities.
  • Assisting with data collection and dissemination of information.
  • Regular reporting to project manager or direct supervisor.
  • Provide accurate information in a timely manner to the management team on topics and developments related to the project’s community mobilization related activities, including press reviews and security related information.
  • Maximize stakeholder contribution and community participation in activities.
  • Assist other departments with field-level support tasks as required.
  • Act as liaison and cooperate with other WHH projects in the country
  • Participate in weekly meetings and daily planning meetings.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in veterinary or related fields
1-3 years relevant experience working for an (I)NGO
Clear conceptual understanding and practical experience on analysis of local socio-cultural context and situation, rural power structures and dynamics in Afghanistan.
Ability to facilitate meetings, workshops and gatherings to reach its required outputs
