About MMRCA:

The Medical Management and Research Courses For Afghanistan (MMRCA) is a national, not-for-profit, non-political, humanitarian organization established in March 2008 by Afghan Health Professionals and is registered as an NGO with the Ministry of the Economy (MoE) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
MMRCA is currently implementing BPHS/EPHS in Badghis and BPHS in Samangan and Sar-e-Pul provinces, HIV projects in Balkh and Kunduz, TB projects in Nangarhar, Laghman, Nooristan, Kunar, Ghazni, Paktia, Paktika and Khost provinces, TSFP, Trauma, MHT and Malaria projects in Badghis, Samangan and Saripol Provinces. Badghis, Kabul Infectious Specialized and Afghan Japan Infectious Hospitals.

MMRCA invites and encourages eligible candidates to apply for the position of Nurse in Afghan Japan Hospital Kabul.

Job Description:

  • Provides patient care in ICU/CCU unit
  • Monitors patient's vital signs and notified attending physicians of changes, assisted physicians with emergent situations
  • Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
  • Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the
  • Administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse Provides basic, bedside care Initiates patient education plan, as prescribed by a physician.
  • Records patients' medical information and vital signs Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition
  • Takes samples for lab work, orders prescribed lab work and evaluates/interprets lab reports
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient
  • Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol
  • Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
  • Applies Hemodynamic, Phlebotomy, and IV protocols.
  • Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records.
  • Displays, such as central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, and cardiac rhythms from cardiac monitors, respirators, ventilators, manometers, oxygen pumps, etc.
  • Provided assessment and interventions in emergent situations, including cardiac and respiratory arrest, and followed ACLS protocols
  • To check the vital signs of the patients every two hours
